Dear Colleagues and Clients,
I've announced some big news about the launch of my new company and our partnership with IBM, and I am eager to share my excitement with you.
This chapter really began in January, 2005, when IBM bought my former company, Systems Research & Development (SRD). It’s been more than 11 years since that acquisition, and during that time, I’ve been fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel around the world listening to and learning from clients, while inventing, building and delivering innovation.
Over the last seven years, my IBM team and I have been building the G2 engine, which integrates diverse observations (data) as it arrives, in real time. Once G2 was sufficiently mature, we integrated it with data storage, streaming pipelines, decisioning, and other components and created a bundled solution called “IBM InfoSphere Sensemaking.”
In mid-June of this year, I began working with IBM on the idea of establishing a new company dedicated to driving my G2 Sensemaking technology to new levels. This much proven technology, combined with a vision and technical roadmap that stretches out for some years, is the foundation of my company’s new partnership with IBM, which will allow us to advance innovation for our joint clients now and in the future.
Please be assured that the transition from my role at IBM to my role heading a new company will be seamless. If you are using, buying or selling these G2 technologies, I’m as invested as ever in your success. If you need help or something is amiss, please reach out to me, as you may have done in the past. I will continue to be working behind the scenes with my engineers to ensure you get the support you need.
My new company will provide G2 Sensemaking technical support like bug fixes, as well as be solely responsible for building out a long list of super exciting new ‘spooky smart’ features that I’ve been cooking up for a long while.
I would absolutely love to hear from you. Please drop me an email, and let me know your thoughts.
